GUIDE TO PLEDGING, GIFTING, AND PLEDGE CREDITS

CAN I CLAIM A DONATION CREDIT ON MY TAX FORM?

No. These are all gifts to funds managed by Britevents Northwest. TO COMPENSATE FOR THAT OPTION we offer the POINTS SCHEME upon payment of the pledge (money), sale of items (gifted items), or completion of tasks. The value of the points depends on which fund is chosen and whether the pledge is money, items, or tasks. Click the link PLEDGE CREDIT for more details. Points can then be used to obtain free gifts and services from Britevents Northwest from our ONLINE SHOP. As long as you have enough available points, you can ask for any gift and receive free shipping. We cannot accept "top" up card payments as this would be an administrative burden. Points must be used within 12 months of issue. You should find the value of your gift outweighs any Federal tax credit benefit. Use that on other charitable funds through eligible nonprofits.

HOW IS THE GIFTED MONEY SPENT?

Money to the Britevents Northwest Operations Fund is a cash injection to help pay for website costs, event costs, meeting costs, POS equipment, and shipping supplies. Use of the money to the Twinning Fund and Britbiz fund will vary over time and if you check either of those options you will get a quarterly update and forecast about what money was spent on and especially successes. Third party nonprofits can choose what they do with their share provided it meets our "British managed or British themed" criteria. Please note all pledge and paid money and items sales will be independently verified as meeting mission criteria and fund rules.

WHAT AND HOW DO I PLEDGE?

Currently you can pledge money, gifted items or volunteer time. Click the link GIFT PLEDGES for what types of money and items can be gifted. Once you are ready to pledge, you will fill out a PLEDGE FORM above (Different form for Money, Items, and time). This will detail what you pledge to do. Once a pledge is received, you will receive one of the following: For money, a payment link; For items a shipping label and instructions. For volunteer time, what tasks you want to do.

There are currently three places you can pledge money or items to. They are 1. Britevents Northwest Operations Fund 2. Transatlantic School Twinning Fund 3. Britbiz Business Start Up Fund. Click the link CHARITABLE FUNDS for more information on each.

WHAT TYPE OF GIFTS ARE AT THE ONLINE STORE?

Only brand new or mint or excellent condition used British themed products are available (with a few exceptions for high value used items or used items with provenance). This includes our expanding range of limited edition items. Some services arranged by Britevents Northwest are also available. You can also get 6 or 12 months VIP Level Membership of your local Brit Club (currently Idaho, Washington State, and Oregon only). LINK ACTIVE IN SEPTEMBER.
