Ways of Gifting
MONEY
We will accept debit, credit cards, Paypal transfers, Zelle transfers (preferred) or check. When you make a "Pledge", you fill in a MONEY PLEDGE FORM and will indicate a method of payment. For card and Paypal payments, we will send you a payment link. As these methods will incur a card processing fee, we will ask on the Pledge form if we can add the processing fee. This is usually around 3-5% extra. Zelle payments do not incur any fee but you must have a linked Zelle account with a bank or credit union. We will send you the email address for the Zelle payment as well as a shipping reference code. For checks, we will send you who the check should be payable to and the secure address to send it (our Spokane mailing center).
ITEMS
At this time, we appreciate you sending items that qualify as "Media mail" with USPS. You can send by another carrier, but our Shipping "Pledge credit" will only be at the USPS Media Mail rate for that weight. Items will include Books, CDs, DVDs, etc. Click HERE for USPS guidelines. Media Mail items will only be accepted for our use if they are either NEW (still in original packaging) or USED MINT CONDITION (out of packaging but no signs of use or minimal use). There is an exception for items valued at $100 or more or have a COA or letter of provenance. You will fill in an ITEM PLEDGE FORM and release ownership to Britevents Northwest. If your item is accepted for gifting, we will then send a detailed Action email, including a shipping label . You will need to pay postage. However, if the item is received in the correct condition, you will be eligible for Gift credits (see bottom of page).
INTRODUCTION TO GIFT CREDITS
Once a MONEY pledge is fulfilled, we will send you a "Gift Credit" amount (in a points scheme known as Britbuck© Points). You will need a Brit Club Membership Card to order gifts. This contains your Member number and verification code essential to placing your gift order at the ONLINE STORE. You cannot top up an order with real money. You can make a new Money Pledge to get additional points. Products (some unique to Britevents Northwest - see coaster to the right), event tickets, and some services will be available in the store. An ITEM pledge only accrues "Gift Credit" once the item is sold. If there is no sale by the end of three full months, then you will get a Shipping Gift credit of 5 to 10 Britbuck© points depending on the Media Mail rate you paid to send us the item. Items will not be returned and may then be used as prize giveaways at events and competitions.
