Pledge credits
Receiving Pledge Credits - Points for gifts
Your Pledge Credit amount will be allocated as Britbuck© points. The Britbuck© point has no cash value and points can only be spent at the online store. Points are valid for 12 months and you can accumulate points. You will have a points account and each time you pledge money or we make a sale from items you donate or you complete a volunteer task, Britevents Northwest will add Britbuck© points as soon as possible after the money gift was made, sale finalized or task completed.

Number of points credited
Money pledged and paid is 1 point per dollar above $10 (in $5 units). New gifted items is 1 point per $2 Sales Equivalent Price or SEP (see bottom of page for explanation). Mint condition used items is 1 point per $4 SEP. On occasions, items less than mint maybe accepted due to their value or provenance e.g. original signed used book by a prominent person. These items will result in 1 point per $4 SEP value as well. Points may be allocated by Britevents Northwest without their being money or sales to a fund. The primary reason will be to volunteers assisting at events or organizers or specialists we retain on a monthly payment. Points ,may also be offered as competition prizes.
But wait a goddam minute, do you actually ever sell an item?
EXAMPLE TWO: You are the owner of that hardback book and donated it a month ago. The item has "sold" for 30 points. You get an email soon after showing a points credit of 10 points following its "sale". This is based on a nominal $30 for the sale plus $10 add back (all equivalent to a $30 pledge as mentioned above). You get 1 Britbuck© point per $4 SEP in Britbuck© points for a used mint condition item. 40 divided by 4, leaves us with 10. Also note we round up to the nearest point as we don't deal in decimals! Example: 7.5 becomes 8.
Well spotted! For the most part, the answer is No. Items are always bought at the Online store with Britbuck© Points, as they are free gifts resulting from a pledge of money, donated items (when sold) or volunteer time given to Britevents Northwest or its charitable funds. Any split amount pledged to a partner Nonprofit or emergency fund does NOT count for points. The exception to this system is it does NOT apply at live events such as "The Best of Britain" Bazaar or Nonprofit partnership events where there are cash or card pledges "on the spot" or by ticket cost. Points schemes for those events will vary and will be detailed in the event description.
EXAMPLE ONE: You donate $40 by Zelle. Soon after, you receive an email showing a Britbuck© points balance of 30 points. You order a used mint condition hardback book, as your thank you gift, for 30 points with free shipping included. You use up all your points credited. Your receive an email soon after showing your points balance is zero.
